How to add an author box at the bottom of your post

28 October 2012
I found several tutorials on adding an author box at the bottom of blog posts and they all involved adding a couple of sets of code to the template HTML. It was only fairly recently that I realized that a simpler way (simpler for me, I mean) would be to use the code for the colored box.

In this post I'll just show you how I created my author box.

How to create colored boxes with image or text inside

26 October 2012
Here's another one of my favorites--colored boxes, which I use all the time when making something stand out in a post or on my sidebar. I usually use this code to feature the book summaries or synopsis of my book reviews on WSP.

Yay for colored boxes!

Switching to a custom domain

22 October 2012
This is a rehash of this post over at my main blog when I switched to a custom domain.

I've been blogging on my main blog White Sky Project for a few years, and about a couple of years ago I thought it was about time that I own it. I did my research, learned a few things, and finally took the plunge. Basically, here's what I did.

How to design your blog your way

21 October 2012
This is a rehash of this post from my main blog.

I change the blog layout of my main blog every couple of months or so. I'm always trying to make it look easier on the eyes--mine and yours. And, yes, I do get bored with my blog layout A LOT.

Now, a web designer I am not, though that is definitely on my top 3 of things I want to be, right below published author and just above skilled seamstress. I don't know how to design a blog or website from scratch, but I understand enough about html and I use what little knowledge I have to make a few tweaks here and there. See, you don't need to be a web design wiz in order to come up with a nice and original-looking blog.

In this post, I'm going to let you in on my mad blog designing secrets by taking you through the process of how I come up with a new blog design all by my-"non web designer"-self. *beam*
